Orwell’s Animal Farm VS. The Russian Revolution

Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Orwell’s Animal Farm VS. The Russian Revolution. Russia was in an appalling state of poverty while the Tsar lived in luxury. There was tremendous dissatisfaction. One of Orwell’s goals in writing Animal Farm was to portray the Russian Revolution of 1917 as one that resulted in a government more oppressive, totalitarian, and deadly than the one it overthrew.
